Paintings are dynamic objects because they change place. This visualization shows the journey of six female Belgian portraits, from museum to museum, that are property of the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Antwerp.

There are six plates that each show the journey of one painting. Through the transparency, the displacements of each work can bee seen towards each other and be compared. The viewer can choose which plate he wants to pull out. The 'pulling out' refers to the stocking of the paintings in a museum.

 

We could state that the Royal Museum mostly has connections with a few museums in Asia, mainly in Japan, and a few states in America but especially with Europe.
